All non profit organizations are invited to us eAngel. We encourage all non profits to register and submit a wish list so that eAngel can assist the donor community in effectively fulfilling non profit needs. Each non profit is also free to browse donations to fulfill its needs. A non profit can actually receive a donation by selecting an unassigned gift item on a first come first serve basis. At this point you are required to register in order to receive the donation. The registration process will be completed and accepted upon verification of the 501c3 status according to the IRS database. Once registration is complete each non profit has the opportunity to submit wish list requests either categorically or specifically. An eAngel registered non profit is then eligible to receive a gift upon notification that a donor has fulfilled a wish list request. Finally, a specific non profit may receive a donor self directed donation whether it was requested through a wish list or not. Please note that in all cases where a donation is assigned to a non profit the non profit will be notified by email. It is the responsibility of the non profit to indicate acceptance of the donation, through reply email, on a first come first serve basis. Once a donation has been accepted by a non profit and confirmed by email, eAngel will acknowledge to the donor that assignment is complete. The non profit will be notified of its responsibility, by email, to contact the donor directly and arrange for the gift pick up. There may be exceptions to this in instances where donor participants are willing to assist in the delivery process. In most all cases when a non profit does provide for pick up, we ask that the donor allow at least two weeks for pick up from the time that the gift is assigned, unless more time is allowed. Upon receiving a gift each non profit is responsible for issuing a gift acknowledgment to the donor for tax purposes. It is the responsibility of all donors to determine the accurate gift appraisal and consult a professional tax advisor accordingly. eAngel’s primary objective is to assist donors and non profit groups through its donation assignment process. It is not the intention of eAngel to arrange for logistics, tax acknowledgement, gift appraisal, or tax opinions; these details are the sole responsibility of the donor and the respective non profit organizations. An initial gift acknowledgement will be provided by eAngel and references are indicated for appraisal assistance. Finally, the non profit and the donor will be asked to complete a simple report card, thereby assuring the integrity of the exchange. |
