How to Donate

All donors are invited to browse non profits, in your geographic area, that are registered with eAngel. You can search by non profit category or review the entire list of non profit organizations. In browsing you can determine who wants your specific donation through a key word gift item search, or you can simply shop the wish list of any eAngel registered non profit.

It is the responsibility of all donors to determine the accurate gift appraisal and consult a professional tax advisor accordingly. eAngel's primary objective is to assist donors and non profit groups through its donation assignment process. It is not the intention of eAngel to arrange for logistics, tax acknowledgement, gift appraisal, or tax opinions; these details are the sole responsibility of the donor and the respective non profit organizations. An initial gift acknowledgement will be provided by eAngel and references are indicated for appraisal assistance. Finally, the non profit and the donor will be asked to complete a simple report card, thereby assuring the integrity of the exchange.

In order to make a donation you are required to register as a donor. This will enable you to login and submit a gift donation by entering a description of a new or gently used gift item. You trust us so we trust you to make each gift meaningful and consistent with the standards that are acceptable to non profits complying with the eAngel registration requirements. Donors may assign gift donations to a non profit category or fulfill specific non profit wish list needs. All donations that are not specifically directed by the donor will be assigned to a non profit organization, in your geographic area, based on need. Each donor will be requested to indicate the maximum time period that they are willing to wait for a gift to be assigned. Although there is no guarantee of assignment, eAngel will do its best to assist you in making your donation. When a gift assignment is completed eAngel will email a confirmation to you and a donor contact profile will be emailed to the receiving non profit to facilitate acknowledgement and gift pickup. We ask that the donor allow at least two weeks for pickup from the time that the gift is assigned unless otherwise indicated.

Please note that donors may elect to maintain anonymity on the registration form. The donor profile will still be emailed to the receiving organizations but non profits will be required to maintain confidentiality.
